That Luke 18:13 line is always near to me. Not only for the words but for the picture of posture one should have when speaking such things.

So, even undead sorcerer kings feel the need to pray to the creator of the universe.

I've always been drawn to Psalms 23:4.-6

4 For though i walk through the valley of the shadow o' death

I shall fear no evil.

for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

My husband and I have felt a call to explore the eastern lung of the Church and I love the Jesus Prayer! My husband, who is deployed currently, has been helping teach RCIA on his base and mentoring future Catholics, and was explaining to me how he was teaching about the Jesus Prayer to one of his mentees. 😊
