Life really comes at you fast. I remember back in 2019 when I started the Catholic Manhood Instagram page. At this time, I was a single young man working in IT (still do that by the way) with the whole world in front of me. I converted to the faith just before my 21st birthday and my first years in the Catholic Church were just one big red pill after another.
At the beginning I felt alone, I was the only person, definitely the only man in my family that was Catholic and had no positive (living) Catholic role models to learn from. I noticed that the female/male ratio in many parishes I went to was probably 10-1. I took issue with that after I read in many articles that statistically speaking, children tend to leave the faith at a substantially higher rate if the patriarchs of the family aren’t present.
So I dedicated a little corner on the internet to creating the ideal of what a Catholic man must do in this world to get himself and his family to heaven. The posts on social media and here on 1545 is a passion to me and I hope it has helped even one man take steps towards his realized responsibility and most important of all, towards heaven. Fast forward 4 years later and I am happily married to the catholic woman of my dreams and a proud father of a young son who was the first person to be baptized in the Catholic Church within my family in the past 60 years.
The Lord has blessed me in more ways than I can count. I realize I need to focus on such things.
