"First prayer, then atonement; in the third place - very much in the third place - action."
Men,
Action is worthless without prayer. It is imperative we realize that prayer is FIRST. Not simply a last resort.
This is a mistake I have made more times than I could count.
"I suppose now all one can do is pray" is not the way to go about it.
Our efforts will not bear fruit if those efforts are not rooted in prayer, rooted in Jesus Christ. Prayer comes before anything else.
We sit ourselves at His feet when we kneel in prayers. For prayer is quality time spent with our creator.
You can't possibly be so proud to think that you can fix things in this life without getting right with God.
You must accept His holy will and allow Him to work through you.
To bring light into this dark will, to bring hope, we have to first make room for Christ in our hearts.
Our first priority in life is our relationship with God.
Everything else... EVERYTHING else, is secondary.
Pray first and gain clarity - only then will you be prepared for the road ahead.
Prayer > Atonement > Action.
