Men who confuse movement with action in this context are de facto hypocrites. They are the fodder nonbelievers use to point out the hypocrisy of the church and its faithful.

Great article. I wish I had read this earlier in my own life.

What is the name of the beautiful painting? It inspires me. Great and timely inspiration in your writing.

Funny enough, George, that is St. George and the dragon!

Adamson? I looked it up. Am I right?

Upon further investigation, Paolo Uccello? Love it! Powerful theme for a guy named George.

It’s true. It is easy to listen to an inspiring podcast but you need to practice everyday to get spiritually strong. It’s just like the gym. Even those days you don’t want to go, as long as you go through the movements you are helping yourself get closer to God. Personally, I am learning to sit in silence which I find difficult but peaceful.

Agreed!

Stillness is very difficult to me, I have found there is a specific way to channel your "activity" into actions. I wrote this article just as much for myself as for others. Action is difficult, but we can train!

Obedience seems the one thing that is “anathema” to the modern mind.

Arguably the best article I've ever read on substack

Very nice how you always link typical Christian Virtues with masculinity and the Revelation of God.

Saint Joseph, Light of the Patriarchs, pray for us sinners.
